Township History

Proudly Serving Lorain County Since 1803

In 1833 Camden Township saw its first permanent settlers. In 1835 a small group of settlers petitioned the Lorain County Commissioners in Elyria for permission to form a Township government. They held their first election on April 6, 1836.
